Siddhartha Kumar
Sunshine Residential Public School I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father is very laborious and honest in his work. He always motivates me. My mother teaches me how to speak and behave respectfully with everyone, especially elders. My sister, Sakshi, is very good at singing, playing, and painting. She is multitalented in every field and is very good in her studies too.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I always believed that I am good in studies. I will enhance my capabilities in learning Maths and Science and will have great opportunities by being a Dakshana Scholar. If I am not selected, then I will continue with schooling in my current school and give some other entrance tests too.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to be an engineer, but for that, I want to pursue my B.Tech degree from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and serve my country as best as I can.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, my first aim is to motivate people in my society to ensure good education for their children. I will teach students either free or at a very minimum cost and motivate them to be different and become role models for our society. Children are the future of our country, and education is the weapon to come out of poverty.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
Before joining JNV, I was studying in a CBSE school. In class 5th, nearly 20–30 students from our class appeared for the JNVST test. I was not very good in studies, and many friends said no one from our school ever cleared this exam, so how could I? But my father motivated me that if no one could do it, then I had a better chance to do something different. Then I appeared and successfully cleared the test.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
In free time, I explore new things happening in the world related to technology. My hobbies are listening to music, reading books and watching suspense-filled movies.
