Doon Heritage School I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical College
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
There are a total of five members in my family—me, my father, my mother, and my two sisters. My father’s name is Niranjan Halder, and he is a farmer. My mother’s name is Sabita Halder, and she is a housewife. Both my elder sisters are married and have completed their graduation in Bengali. My father is the only income source of our family. I also have an uncle who is a farmer. My father struggled a lot to provide me higher education, which he never got in his childhood. My parents have great hopes that I will get into a good medical college and become a well-established doctor.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I do not know whether I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship or not. But I am sure that if I get this scholarship, it would be very beneficial for me and my family. Dakshana would be a gateway to my NEET preparation and getting into a medical college. If I do not get this scholarship, I will look for online means to prepare for NEET.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My current ambition in life is to get into a medical college and become a well-established doctor so that I can be stable enough to support my family while serving society.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
If I become a well-established doctor, I would love to donate from my earnings just like Mohnish Sir does for Dakshana. Also, being a doctor, I would like to form a group of doctors with my friends so that we can reach a large number of needy people and provide quality treatment at low cost.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
I live in a village very far from the main city. Most people here are poor. Whenever they get a serious disease, it is very hard for them to afford quality treatment. These incidents, along with my dream, motivate me to do better for myself and for them.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I have deep love for sports and athletics. If I get a chance in the future, I would love to work in these fields.
