You can lift a family from poverty permanently and help get the scholar accepted by an IIT or a government medical college in India.
All outside donor funds are used only for the direct Dakshana Scholar program. Foundation overhead expenses are not paid from these funds. So, any funds you donate are going directly (and 100%) to a great cause. You are making a big difference.
Dakshana has two different programs that you can support.
1) Near-Term Scholar Expenses – These funds are used to support the day to day scholar expenses.
2) Endowment – If endowment is selected, 5% of the balance every year will be moved to the operating account. Endowment funds are managed by Mohnish Pabrai and are invested in equities in a very concentrated manner. The endowment helps your dollar go further.
Fully Support a Scholar for just $7/day!
You can fully support a Dakshana scholar for as little as $7 per day, or $210 per month, for 12 months. You can select your donation to be recurring for the monthly amount and you will be auto-billed each month during your sponsorship. Dakshana would be happy to connect you with your scholar if you’d like to get to know him/her or provide mentorship and guidance. Your gift can be of any amount. The $7/day is just a suggestion.
