I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT

Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My home is in a village where there are four members in my family. My father is a farmer. He loves spending time with family and is very hardworking. My mother is a housewife who takes care of each family member and stays busy all day. I have a younger sister who is currently studying in class 10 at JNV. I also have an immediate uncle who is a daily wage labourer.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I deserve this scholarship because I fulfill all the requirements to be a Dakshana Scholar. I belong to a poor family and cannot afford high-quality coaching. I am hardworking and success-conscious, and I think this makes me deserving of the Dakshana Scholarship. If I am not selected, I might take a drop year and study on my own at home.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to become a successful engineer.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
First, I would like to support my family and take them out of poverty. I feel that many poor children do not even know about facilities like Dakshana and JNV. I would like to spread awareness about education. I will also contribute to the trusts that provide education and health facilities.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
I remember the day I got selected in JNV and Dakshana. My parents jumped with happiness. Their happiness is my biggest inspiration and motivation to do better.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like playing cricket and basketball. My favourite subject is physics and I love listening to poetry.
