Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My name is Nikhil Sonkar. My father's name is Shri Kapoor Chandra Sonkar, and he is a farmer. My mother's name is Sumitra Devi, and she is a housewife. We are five siblings—myself and four sisters. My sisters' names are Priyanshi Sonkar, Shivanshi Sonkar, Anjali Sonkar, and Janvi Sonkar.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because I am eligible and fulfill all the conditions. I belong to a middle-class family that cannot afford offline coaching for IIT-JEE. If I had not been selected, I would have prepared for IIT-JEE through online coaching.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition is to become a good engineer and serve my country as a good engineer as well as a good citizen.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
After becoming successful, I will contribute to society as an engineer by researching new technologies that reduce people’s workload. I will help every helpless person as much as possible.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
One day while travelling in a bus, I saw a person who didn’t have one hand but was still doing his job as a hawker. This inspired me because even without a hand he was working, and I have everything. I should work harder and make my parents proud.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My interest is reading books, searching new things and visiting different places.
