JNV Patan Gujarat I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father's name is Dineshkumar Makwana. He is a journalist working at a newspaper company named Divya Bhaskar. My mother's name is Pallavi Makwana; she is a homemaker and helps me and my siblings with our studies. Both my brother and sister are younger than me and study in a state board private school. We live with our grandparents, and both of them are retired from their respective jobs.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I believe that I am talented enough to be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship, and I also believe that I will score well enough to get into an IIT if I receive proper guidance. It would be my pleasure to call myself a Dakshana Scholar. If not selected, I would have chosen Super 30 for JEE coaching, as I was also getting a scholarship there, or I would have pursued BBA.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to pursue electrical engineering from a reputed IIT, and I aim to become an IES officer.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I want to become an IES officer and serve my nation. I will do my duties honestly and focus on developing the country in the fields of science and engineering. I wish to donate some of my wealth to needy people and inspire youngsters to educate themselves and work for society’s development.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
I have been a good achiever right from my childhood because of my mother. She motivates me to work hard and be a strong, independent woman. She sees herself within me and therefore I want to fulfill all her desires which she wished for herself and which she wishes for me. When I passed my 12th standard, my family faced some serious financial issues which also motivated me to work hard and earn for my family, so I can stand behind my father to help him.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like reading, writing, sketching, and learning new things. I am also interested in music and theatre. Recently, I developed interest in robotics while working on some science projects in automotive and Atal Tinkering Lab.
