Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father’s name is Gauri Shankar Maurya. He is a small farmer. He studied only up to class 9, after which he had to leave school. My mother is a housewife and is illiterate. There are 10 members in my family. My elder sister is doing her B.A., and my younger sister is studying at Vidyagyan School, Sitapur. All family members help my father run the household.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
As I belong to a poor family and do not have the resources to afford costly IIT/JEE coaching, getting into IIT is my dream, and through this, I can eliminate my family’s poverty. Dakshana Scholarship is a crucial and helpful way to reach my destination. If I had not been selected, I would have prepared for IIT/JEE online from PW.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My aim is to become an IITian and then an extraordinarily rich person.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I would be very excited to give back to society and the world when I become successful. I would like to contribute through free education.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My elder brother is my aspiration. He taught and motivated me to do better. He guided me when I got into Vidyagyan School Sitapur.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like to read books and play sports like cricket. In my free time, I like to sing and listen to songs.
