Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father, Sunil Kumar Maity, is a lovable and hardworking person who has struggled a lot since the death of my grandfather. I have seen him work hard every day to fulfill my needs, my mother’s wishes, and the responsibilities of our family. He does not want me to face disrespect because of poverty. My mother, Debika Maity, is a caring and hardworking woman who wakes up early every morning to manage the household work. She has many dreams and wishes, and I want to fulfill them in the future.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because, despite belonging to a poor background, I have the potential to compete in competitive exams like NEET. Nowadays, proper coaching and guidance are very important for success, and Dakshana provides deserving students with quality education without financial burden. If I am selected, I will work very hard to achieve my goals. If I am not selected, I will continue my studies at my parent JNV and complete my 12th standard from there while continuing to prepare for my future.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to fulfill all my parents’ dreams and expectations. I also want to serve poor people in society and make my parents feel proud of me through my success and hard work.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
Whenever I visited doctors, I noticed that many poor people were not treated properly because of financial problems. If I become successful and become a doctor, I want to help poor people by providing proper treatment with kindness and care, regardless of their financial condition.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
The struggles of my parents have motivated me the most in life. I have seen my father suffer from illness many times, but due to financial problems, my family could not always afford treatment from good doctors. My mother has also faced many hardships. Watching my parents struggle inspired me to study hard, prepare for NEET, and work toward building a better future for my family.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
In my previous school, I participated in the Khelo India football campaign. I enjoy playing football in my free time, and it is one of my favourite hobbies.
