Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My family has four members. My father, Mr. Manoj Kumar, is the only earning member of my family. He is an extrovert, loves to interact with others, and has very good communication skills. My mother’s name is Mrs. Sarita Devi. She is a homemaker and the biggest inspiration for me. She is the strongest person I have ever seen in my life. She has never cried about her destiny—she always accepts reality and deals with it. I have learned a lot from my parents, such as sacrifice, adjustment, patience, and faith in God. I have an elder brother, Saurabh Kumar. He is 22 years old, very close to me, and always motivates me to do my best in life, make my parents proud, and face tough situations bravely.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
Dakshana is a platform for talented students who want to serve the nation but lack financial support. I am one of them. At Dakshana, I will be guided by the best teachers. If not selected, I would take an online NEET course.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to become one of those successful women who raised themselves from the ground and serve the nation with all their potential. I want to make my family stress-free and proud to say I am their daughter.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I will contribute to society for its welfare by spending some of my earnings on NGOs like the Dakshana Foundation. After becoming a successful doctor, I will serve poor people for minimal or zero fees and contribute to rural schools to inspire future doctors.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
When I was in 8th standard, my family faced a big financial crisis. I saw my parents struggling at their peak to give us a better life. They sacrificed their dreams and needs to make our dreams come true. That part of my life motivated me to put all my efforts into fulfilling their dreams and raising them from that tough situation.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I am interested in knowing about different creatures in the world, reading encyclopedias, and collecting different types of coins. My hobbies are crafting, cooking, singing, and planning surprises for my parents on special occasions.
