Kommuru Hari Chandana
JNV Puducherry I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father, Ravindra Reddy, is a farmer and a very hardworking person. My mother, Sandhya, is a housewife and takes care of our home. My brother is studying in 2nd standard, and my sister is studying in 10th standard in a government school in our locality. My mama, who is my mother’s younger brother, is currently pursuing B.Tech.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I think I have the potential and I am determined towards my studies and my goal. I will give my 100% if I get selected. If I am not selected as a Dakshana Scholar, I would join a normal college for my B.Tech. I will be thankful to Dakshana if I get the opportunity to study here for my IIT dream.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to become an independent individual and an IAS officer. For now, my short-term goal is to pursue my B.Tech at a top IIT next year with my desired branch.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
After becoming successful, I would like to contribute to society by helping poor students in education. I want to support students who have potential but cannot continue their studies due to financial issues. I know the importance of education—it can change generations.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
The only motivation for me to do better is my parents. My father took many loans for my studies. By trusting me, he is ready to send me wherever I want to study. I don’t want to break the trust he has in me. As I am a general-category girl, many relatives told my father not to send me so far and told me not to take a drop for JEE. But my father denied all those things. So I want to do better.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
Whenever I feel bored, I like to solve puzzles like sudoku and Rubik’s cube. I love to play badminton and learn new things and facts.
