Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
I belong to a lower-middle-class family which includes my mother, father, one brother, and four sisters. My father is the only earning member. My mother is a homemaker, and all my siblings are studying. All of us have the vision to change our lives for the better through education. Papa always motivates us to work hard, as we have no other option to improve our circumstances except through education.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
As per my thinking, I have the ability to do well in studies here. If I am not selected as a Dakshana Scholar, I will prepare for JEE from home because I can’t afford coaching. Another reason I want to be selected is my weak economic condition, even though I have the potential to do well. So I think Dakshana is meant for students like me.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My first ambition in life is to give my family the best life they deserve. Secondly, as Dakshana is helping many students achieve their goals, I also want to do something for needy students for their bright future. I want to work at the ground level to educate children who don't even have food to eat or who don’t know the meaning of “study” or “school,” so that crime rates can decrease in our country. For that, I need to earn a lot and build strong connections with influential people.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
After becoming successful, my first contribution will be educating more children so they have a bright future, and so will the country. As my father taught me, “Return more than you receive.” Being a Navodayan, I want to give back to the nation with interest. As an engineer, I will try to develop the country as much as possible.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
Once in Class 10th, when I gave the NDST, I wasn’t selected, which made me feel worthless but also motivated me to work harder. That hard work brought me again to Dakshana in my 12th. This is the beauty of dedication and determination.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like watching documentaries on historical events to gain inspiration from them. I also like to sing, although my voice is not very good.
