Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father's name is Sukesh Kumar Mandal. He has a printing press and likes to write novels. My mother, Mousumi Mandal, is a housewife and manages all her tasks well. My elder sister, Bidisha Mandal, has done B.Sc Agriculture and then a diploma in Food Technology. My mother likes to see me and my sister study sincerely. My elder sister also likes to complete her studies on time.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I believe I can study effectively and achieve my dream if I get good teachers, a supportive environment, and proper guidance. Dakshana can be that supporter for me and help me follow the path to my dream. That is why I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship. If I do not get the scholarship, I will try for other scholarship tests or study online for next year’s JEE examination.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to be happy and make others happy if I can. For that, I need to become financially independent and solve the problems of my home, relatives, and society as much as possible. And for that, I have to keep learning.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
If I become successful one day and if I have sufficient resources, I will contribute to JNVs and Dakshana. I will open a library in my locality to help students access books they cannot afford. An educated society will create a better world.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
In my life there are several incidents that motivated me to do something better. The story of Kalpana Chawla, who lost her life due to spacecraft malfunction, inspired me. I studied effectively and decided to do engineering. I didn’t know how to achieve it, but I started learning more and I am still learning.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
In my leisure time, I like to sing, draw sketches, or make paintings using pastel or watercolors. I also find myself observing trees, flowers, and butterflies around me.
