Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father’s name is Mr. Parmanand Kumar Ray. He is a farmer and a seasonal private employee. He likes to spend his leisure time with family. He enjoys playing indoor games like ludo with us, cooking snacks for us, and listening to old evergreen Hindi music. My mother’s name is Mrs. Ramita Devi. She is a homemaker and loves listening to us talk about our day and watching mythological shows. My sister's name is Suruchi Kumari. She is studying in class 12 in a government high school. She enjoys reading Hindi stories and watching drama shows.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because I think I am a deserving candidate. I know its value, and I will not let it go in vain. I will use this scholarship to improve academically and get selected in IIT. If I am not selected, I will enroll myself in a local government college.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition is to fulfill and live my childhood dreams—helping the needy and helpless, opening a free school and hospital in my grandfather’s name, having a big home, and a healthy and happy family. I want to play with friends under the open sky and work to break evil societal norms like dowry, blind faith, etc.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
If I become capable enough in the future, I will certainly try to break evil societal norms like the dowry system, animal sacrifices in the name of worship, and many more. I will also try to help needy people to my utmost capacity.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
There are many incidents that have motivated me, but picking one is difficult. One incident was at a wedding ceremony after my 10th result. I heard my father proudly talking about me and my result. That proud moment motivated me to do even better to give my father such moments again and again.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My interests include making boring things interesting, learning new terminologies, pondering philosophical thoughts and reading literature. My hobbies are sleeping, playing volleyball with my friends, Urdu poetry and brain-rot gossiping with my friends.
