My father’s name is Tarun Dey, and he is a carpenter. His annual income is around ?55,000, and he is the only earning member of our family. My mother’s name is Sita Pan, and she is a housewife. I do not have any siblings, so I am the only child in my family. We are a nuclear family. My father was a good student and wanted to become a doctor, but due to poor financial conditions and family pressure, he could not complete his studies and had to work to feed the family. My mother is the eldest daughter of my grandparents and also comes from a poor family background. I do not have any maternal uncles. On my father’s side, I have one uncle who is also a carpenter. My family does not have any special wishes except for my success.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I have the capability and willingness to become a doctor and serve my family, but I do not have enough money to afford high-quality coaching. Dakshana is a type of program that provides quality coaching to brilliant students who aspire to attend medical college but cannot afford expensive coaching institutes. I am fully devoted to preparing for the NEET examination, and I believe I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship.

I want to become a highly qualified doctor and serve both my family and my country. I want to give my parents a better life. I also want to become a good human being and help remove corruption from the medical field.

When I become successful, the first thing I will do is thank Dakshana for supporting me. I would also like to donate as much as possible so that students like me can become successful in life. After becoming a doctor, I want to open a hospital and serve poor people by providing free and affordable treatment. I also want to remove corruption from the medical field and stop unnecessary treatment given only for profit. Along with becoming a doctor, I also want to prepare for UPSC. My goal is to use my abilities to remove corruption and improve society. I want to provide my family with a safe home and a better life. Jai Hind.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My father is my role model, and my mother also inspires me a lot. Even in difficult financial conditions, they always try their best to provide me with a better life. My parents have given me enough freedom to follow my dreams, and I want to work hard to make them happy. My parents sacrifice many things for me, and I want to fulfill their dreams. Since I am their only child and we belong to a poor family, I feel a strong responsibility toward them. Their struggles and sacrifices motivate me every day. Doctors also inspire me because they save lives and serve society, which is why I want to become a highly qualified doctor and serve my country.

My favourite game is chess, and I love drawing and singing. Since childhood, drawing has been one of my favourite hobbies. I also enjoy writing poems, stories, and acting in dramas.
