Saiman
Hari International School Uttar Pradesh I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father, Mr. Ompal Singh, has a fruit business. He likes helping others even if he has nothing to give and is very religious and sincere in society. My elder brother Ujjwal likes to study but has no opportunity, so he helps my father in his work, as elder brothers do in poor families. I have two elder sisters named Komal and Sapna. Komal is a BA graduate and Sapna is doing BSc Nursing. My sweet mother, Mrs. Salelta, is a great cook and always smiles. Because of her, I also like smiling and spreading positive vibes.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I was not interested in studies earlier. I liked everything except studying. But after getting 90+ percent in my Class 10 boards, my life changed. Now I am studying because I have no other opportunity in different fields. If I am not selected in Dakshana, I will help my father in his business and start from there, and I will not continue my studies.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I belong to a Christian family, so we are taught to help others. I want to help others as my father does and as Dakshana does. I don't like to create money or collect many things.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I don’t think I will ever be a successful person in my life.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
One day I was with my uncle. He is a well-settled person from our society. It was winter and he saw some children without shoes or slippers. So he collected all their names and gave them shoes. The smile those children had after wearing the shoes motivated me to help others.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like sports and travelling. I also like singing.
