Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My family consists of 4 members. The first member is my father, Mr. Chhote Lal Pal, who is an auto driver. He is very hardworking and doesn’t care about day or night, and he loves me very much. The next member is my mother, Mrs. Kiran Devi, who is a housewife and plays an important role in our livelihood. She likes listening to bhajans. Then there is me, and the last member is my younger brother, Mayank Pal, who is currently studying in class 10 and loves trying different things and playing games. My grandfather, uncle, and cousins live in my hometown, Sultanpur; my uncle is a farmer.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I think I deserve the scholarship because I am one of those needy and talented students whose family cannot afford higher education. I assure you that I will prove myself worthy of it. I will always try my best. If I am not selected to be a Dakshana Scholar, I will not give up and will continue trying. No matter the result, I will accept it and work for what is best for my future.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to become a software engineer and bring my family out of poverty, which is my secondary goal. My primary goal is to help those students who are needy like me but have no guidance or financial support. I also want to resolve other issues for the welfare of society.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
Whether I become successful or not, I will try to contribute to society in every possible way. I will remain connected with Dakshana by being a part of DAAN. I will donate to NGOs like Dakshana that help needy and talented students like us. I want to reach a level where my suggestions are discussed and implemented for the welfare of society.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
There is not only one incident that inspires me. Every time I think of my parents and their hard work, I feel inspired. The way my father goes to work early and returns late, and the way my mother thinks before spending money — all of this motivates me. But the biggest moment was when I went with my father to his workplace and met a company owner who treated my father with great respect. I realized that money is not everything; you earn money from your job, but you earn respect through honesty and hard work.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I am interested in meeting different people, talking to them and exchanging thoughts. My hobbies are reading novels, singing and solving problems.
