Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
There are four members in my family, including me. My father's name is Pralhad Bagde. He is a labourer and earns up to ?10,000 per month. My mother's name is Shobha Bagde, and she is a housewife. She always encourages me and my sister to study and become successful and independent in the future. My younger sister's name is Kajal, and she is studying in class 10. My maternal uncle is a daily wage worker, and my paternal uncle is a teacher.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I am a hardworking girl and economically weak. If I get selected for the Dakshana Scholarship Program, I ensure that I will give my best in studies. I will take this opportunity as a golden chance to eliminate poverty from my family. If I am not selected, I will prepare for other state exams, find a seat in another college, and continue studying.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to become an independent person and support my family, and bring a smile of satisfaction to their faces. At present, my ambition is to focus on my studies and pursue B.Tech from an IIT.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
If in the future I become a successful person, I will do my best to help poor people. Many people have great potential but lack opportunities and financial support. I will encourage them to study hard, get educated, and help them financially.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
After 10th, when I went to my maternal aunt's home, I saw her as an independent woman, an ideal. She is a Deputy Manager at SBI. Seeing her made me feel proud and showed me the power of education, that it can take every deserving person to great success. She also encouraged me. My mother was unable to pursue her studies due to lack of money. I feel very bad for her, but I got a chance to study at Navodaya free of cost. So I have decided to give my best to make my mother’s dream come true.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I love spending time with dogs—playing with them and feeding them. I also like listening to music and helping others.
