Padma Gond
EMRS Hirli I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical College
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father’s name is Pagu Gond. He is a farmer and enjoys cultivating crops. My mother’s name is Ratula Gond; she is a housewife and also likes cultivating vegetables. I have one sister and three brothers. The eldest brother is married and has two sons; he helps my father with work. My sister-in-law is also a housewife. The second elder brother is studying. My only sister is studying, and my youngest brother is also studying. They all like helping our parents during summer vacation. My uncle (chacha) is also a farmer and has two sons. My chachi is a housewife.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because my parents often face financial problems. Other coaching centers charge 1–2 lakhs per year for NEET, which my parents cannot pay because we are five siblings. Dakshana can fulfill my dreams. If I had not been selected, I would have applied for graduation.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
As a NEET aspirant, my ambition is to become a good MBBS doctor. After becoming a doctor, I will serve my country’s people. I will also talk about the importance of good education and guide my village people by being an example myself.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful in my life, I will make my village people aware by giving my own example so that they can believe and understand. Many people in our village leave their studies after Class 5, 10, or 12. Whatever help they need from me, I will try to provide. I will help not only my village people but also people of my country.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My aim is to become a doctor. There is a belief that doctors are like gods because they save lives. In my village, people suffer due to lack of proper treatment, and sometimes we lose them. It hurts the entire family. My grandfather’s neighbor is suffering from cancer, which makes me sad and motivates me to become a doctor.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobby is playing and travelling to different places. I like and am interested in acquiring knowledge, knowing facts, and spending time with my family members.
