Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father's name is Vijaya Kumar. He is a supervisor in Gamini Textiles. My mother's name is Kejiya Rani; she is a homemaker. In my house, we are only three members. I don't have brothers or sisters. My parents like to spend time with me. They like discipline and do not like negativity. They are always optimistic. My maternal uncle is an employee in a factory.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
As the Dakshana Foundation provides free, comprehensive coaching for gifted students preparing for IIT-JEE, including 100% funding for coaching fees, accommodation, and food, I want this support. As I am from a poor background, I feel fortunate if selected for the Dakshana Scholarship. If I am not selected, I will join a normal state college.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
As an engineer, I can explore the world through various professional and personal pathways—from international projects to sustainable development and humanitarian work. This offers a unique way to see the world as a problem-solver making a positive impact on society. But my real ambition is to become an IAS officer. As I also have interest in engineering, I chose this path and I believe Dakshana would support me.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
As an engineer, I can contribute to society by designing and building critical infrastructure like clean water systems and sustainable housing; developing new technologies for healthcare and communication; creating efficient agricultural methods; and working on projects with direct social impact. Additionally, I can contribute through mentorship, volunteering with non-profits, and educating the next generation of innovators.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
The incident that motivated me was my mother’s death. After that, my father faced many difficulties. I decided to support my father in any way. Dakshana supported me a lot like a second mother. She gave me guidance to live a good and decent life. For my parents, I chose to succeed. It’s okay if you fall down and lose your spark — just make sure that when you rise, you rise as the whole fire.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My interests are science, astronomy, archaeology, history, music and sports. My hobbies are singing, painting, reading books and coding.
