I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT

Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father, Mr. Prem Chandra, is the only earning member of my family. He is an auto driver who works day and night for us. My mother, Mrs. Shanti Devi, takes care of our whole family. She is a housewife. She doesn’t have any specific likes or dislikes; she wakes up early, completes the household work, and lives her day simply. She only wants to see me settled in life. My sister, Vaishnavi, is in class 9. She is a workaholic, but only a day before her exams. She wants to become a doctor in the future.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I would have left the dream of JEE if I wasn’t selected. No one is better than Dakshana in providing all the resources needed for the JEE journey. I am not born talented, but I know that hard work beats talent. I would improve my knowledge in Mathematics, my favourite subject, and try to clear ISI to pursue B.Sc. in Statistics.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My only ambition in life is to become capable of lifting the needs of my family. The day my father stops working will be the day when I have proof that I am a successful person. I don't have any external desires; I have satisfaction with what I have. I just want to live a peaceful life with my family in the future.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I would like to start an initiative to provide proper study facilities for the deprived but talented students of my village at a small scale. I would provide them resources to the extent I can. In the beginning, I would teach them myself because after engineering I will be capable of teaching all three main subjects for JEE. Currently Dakshana has 9200 scholar alumni. If they develop thinking like me, then 9200 villages of India will become capable of producing future IITians, politicians, and army officers.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
The necessity of money inspired and motivated me to study better. In future, I have to take care of the responsibilities of my family. If I see my family struggling for resources that I can’t afford, this fear motivates me to study more. With the passage of time, my father will grow older, and this reminds me about future possibilities.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I have interest in Mathematics and I hate Chemistry the most. My hobby is playing badminton and cycling.
