Arya Anupam

JNV Nalanda Bihar
I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT

Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
I have a small family of five members—my father, mother, two sisters, and myself. My father and mother are the earning members of the family. One of my sisters is in class IX in JNV, and the other is in class V. We like spending time together. My father likes discussing ongoing issues with us, while my mother talks to us about our problems and helps us find solutions. My mama is preparing for exams, and my chacha is a private employee.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I think I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship so that I can use my full potential without being affected by financial problems. This will also help me become a responsible citizen who contributes to the development of the nation. If I am not selected, I will prepare for next year through self-study.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to be a responsible and honest citizen. Despite my economic condition, I have received good education due to Navodaya. So, I would like to contribute back to my nation through money or by spreading awareness. I want to be like Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who devoted his life to our country.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
After becoming successful, I will help children who have the potential to become a good human resource but are restricted by economic, physical, or mental conditions. Especially, I will encourage girl students to study because in our locality I have seen many girls leave their studies due to family reasons. I believe that the development of a country is the development of its people. So, I will try to connect more people and make them aware of their fundamental rights, the importance of correct information (especially on social media), and the importance of education in the right way. Lastly, I would also like to work in the field of reducing cyber crime.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
In my locality, girls are not allowed to complete their studies. They are always told they are inferior to boys and should focus only on household chores. But my parents motivated me to study in the field of my interest and to make my life better. So, the spirit of proving those statements wrong has inspired me to do better.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like reading books and singing songs. Along with that, I love connecting with different types of people and getting to know their culture.
