Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
Hello, I am Anusmita, the elder daughter of Mr. Animeh Roy and Mrs. Paramita Maity Roy. They also have a younger daughter, Ms. Debasmita Roy, who is studying in class 11 in a government school. My mother is a housewife and stays busy with household chores. She loves cooking for us and still keeps an eye on our studies. My father loves driving and pursues it as his occupation. My mama has a small business, and my chacha works at the port. We all love spending time together.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I want to be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because it can help me become an IITian and contribute to India’s scientific development. I belong to an impoverished family, so Dakshana is like heaven for me. At JNV, I heard about Dakshana and since then wanted to be a Dakshana Scholar. I also have a small dream of returning next year to take JDST and NCST as a Dakshana alumni wearing the Dakshana T-shirt. If I don’t become a Dakshana Scholar, I will try to get the Super 30 Scholarship.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
For me, taking steps toward fulfilling my dream is my ambition, and I think I'm doing it. Coming to Dakshana is also a big step toward becoming an IITian. After that, I want to study in an IIT and focus on practical learning so that I can build my own startup. By staying in India, I want to develop the medical world through my startup.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I want to apply machine learning from my studies to develop systems for operations and treatments for poor people in India, like MRI and cancer treatment.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
In my life, the most inspiring moment is seeing my parents working hard for us.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like to sing songs in my free time, and I have two diaries of journalism.
