Anand Pratap Singh
Subhash Excellence School Bhopal I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
In my family, there are six members: my grandfather Mr. Shri Singh Thakur, my grandmother Mrs. Malti Bai Thakur, my father Mr. Sangram Singh who is a farmer on his own land, and my mother Mrs. Seema Thakur who is an ANM in the MP Government. My uncle is a soldier in the Indian Army, and my aunty is a housewife. My sister, Miss Gunjan Dangi, is a B.Sc. scholar at Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar, MP. My cousin sisters Anandi Raj Singh and Mahi are students in class 10 and class 2. My maternal uncle Mr. Rajneesh Singh Thakur is a teacher in the MP Government.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I think I am a perfect scholar for the Dakshana Scholarship Program because I am good in academics, but my family’s financial condition is not good, so they cannot afford high coaching fees for IIT-JEE. If I am not selected to be a Dakshana Scholar, then I can prepare for IIT-JEE by doing self-study and using online education.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in my life is to reach good colleges like IIT/NIT, achieve success, make my parents proud, give them good facilities in their old age, serve society and the country, and always stay happy in my life.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
After becoming successful in my life, I would like to contribute to my society and country in the field of education. In my village, people are not aware of the importance of education, and poor people cannot afford their children's education. Children work as child labourers and do not get a proper education, which spoils their childhood. I would like to support them financially in education after becoming successful and help them get good education.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
When I was in seventh class, one senior told me about IIT and how much money you can earn from it. At that time I used to face shortage of money even for small things, so I decided to work hard and make money a “piece of paper.” Mostly money motivates me to do hard work, and I am so motivated that for money I can work very hard.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies are making new friends, exploring new places with them and interacting with people who are more experienced than me. I like gardening very much. I also like adopting pets and reading new books, etc.
