Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father’s name is Mr. Mukesh Kumar, and my mother’s name is Mrs. Sunita. My father is the eldest son of my grandparents. Being the eldest, he has to bear all the family responsibilities. He could only study till 9th class and then started working as a laborer. He couldn’t study more but always gave his best to educate me and my siblings. My mother is a housewife; she is uneducated but always stands with my father to support our education. My father doesn’t have a motorbike, only a cycle, because he cannot afford one. We are poor but hopeful and hardworking.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
As I have already mentioned, there is only one earning member in my family — my father. So if I am awarded this scholarship, I can study well and prepare for JEE at no cost, as my father cannot afford coaching. I also want to study in Dakshana because it’s my dream. If I am not selected, I will think it is God’s will and will continue my studies in JNV and guide my juniors to become Dakshana scholars.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I like watching airplanes, fighter jets, and satellites. I am interested in the cosmos. I want to become an aerospace engineer from IIT Bombay or IIT Madras and later join ISRO. I want to make aircraft, spacecraft, and satellites to make ISRO the best in the world. My ambition is to serve my nation, society, and family.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I will teach rural children and encourage them to study because my area is uneducated. I will also provide educational materials. For the world, I will do my best to save Earth and the environment. I will spread awareness about trees, animals, and our ecosystem to make the world better.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My father and mother are my greatest inspirations. They work day and night to educate us. I am also inspired by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who was an aerospace engineer and scientist. I read his biography, where he teaches never to give up.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I love watching the sky and imagining the infinity of the universe. My hobbies are playing and watching cricket, reading books, and watching science fiction movies.
