Gemen Doni
JNV Upper Subansiri Arunachal Pradesh I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical College
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father is a government employee, and my mother also works. However, despite both of them working, their salaries are still not enough to fully support our family. I have two brothers and one grandmother. My younger brother studies in 10th standard, and my elder brother studies in 4th standard. We live in a joint family. My father is the only person among my uncles who has a job, so he also helps support them financially, which sometimes creates financial difficulties for our family as well.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I believe I am capable of making the best use of the Dakshana Scholarship. I am confident that I can work hard and achieve success if I receive proper guidance and opportunities. If I am selected as a Dakshana Scholar, I will give my best effort in my studies. If I am not selected, I will continue studying in my JNV and prepare through self-study and online resources.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My aim in life is to get admission into a good medical college and become a successful doctor who makes my parents proud.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I want to help society by providing free medical services to poor and needy people who cannot afford treatment. I would like to contribute to improving healthcare facilities in my area and help as many underprivileged people as possible.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
During the 2021 pandemic, my family faced many difficulties. Being a middle-class family, we did not receive the same privileges and support as some others. My parents worked very hard for our livelihood, but my mother even lost her job during that difficult period. Those struggles motivated me to work harder and inspired me to become a successful doctor who can help underprivileged people in the future.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies include playing musical instruments such as the flute and harmonium whenever I get free time.
