Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My name is Gulshan Kumar. My father’s name is Ashok Chaudhary. He works as a professional farmer. My mother’s name is Sonita Devi. She is a housewife and also assists my father in his work. My two brothers, Mukesh Kumar and Omprakash Kumar, are currently studying. My family consists of five members, including me. The only source of income in our family is my father’s earnings. Unfortunately, both my father and mother met with an accident, after which they became physically weak.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I believe I deserve this scholarship because it will help me achieve my goals. I belong to a low middle-class family, and my parents cannot afford the type of education platform that Dakshana provides. If I do not receive the Dakshana Scholarship, I will continue my studies through low-cost coaching institutes and keep working hard to pursue my dream.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I see myself becoming a doctor in the future. Both of my parents met with an accident, and I witnessed how doctors saved their lives. Since then, I have been determined to save other lives as well. I want to become a doctor and help people the same way doctors helped my parents.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I successfully become a doctor, I will sincerely and wholeheartedly try to cure people with low incomes. I will always try to help people, no matter who they are, what religion they belong to, what color they are, or whether they are physically challenged or not.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
Since my childhood, I always listened to what my parents told me to do. However, when my parents met with an accident, I became determined to save other lives just as doctors saved my parents. Since then, I have imagined myself as a doctor helping people regain their health. That accident motivates me every single day. The difficult financial condition of my family also motivates me. I have seen how hard my parents work to make my life better. They have sacrificed a lot, and this inspires me to achieve my goals.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
Since childhood, I have enjoyed drawing and painting. However, after my parents’ accident, my interests gradually changed. Now, I spend more time reading books that help me achieve my goals and improve my knowledge.
