Padmavathi S
JNV Chitradurga Karnataka I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical College
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My Father Srinivasa. P is a business man, mother Prathima . T is Housewife. I have a sister studying in class 9th. My father likes seeing us happy, making us happy, working hard for the money, my mom likes Taking care of us and cooking she wants both me & my sister to study well and be responsible. They dislike it when we are careless about study's or ourself or at times where I don't obey they them. My uncle is running a business where he sells stone required for building religious construction's. That's all about my family.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I hail from a middle-class family, and my parents are not very aware of competitive exams such as NEET or JEE, nor are they aware of the expensive coaching required to crack them. The Dakshana Scholarship provides a platform for very talented students from rural backgrounds. Since I fit both criteria, I believe I should be awarded the scholarship. If I am not selected, I will continue my next two years of schooling at my JNV while preparing for NEET simultaneously.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I am preparing for NEET because I genuinely want to become a doctor, which is a dream shared by both my parents and me. Being highly interested in the function and structure of the heart, I want to become a cardiologist. I also aim to be responsible for the financial and overall welfare of my household, making my parents proud. Ultimately, I want to be a highly sought-after and qualified professional in whichever field I pursue.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
Ever since I joined JNV, it has taught me the motto: "Come to learn, go to serve." Being a Navodayan, I have made this the guiding principle of my life. When I become successful, my contribution will take the form of financial aid, knowledge, or a helping hand for good causes in society and the world. I aim to be a good, responsible citizen, as well as a dedicated doctor.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
It is not a single incident, but rather the ongoing reality of illiteracy among poverty-stricken people that inspires me. Despite having no access to proper education, food, or a stable place to stay, they still strive every day just to survive. I draw motivation from them to do better because I am fortunate enough to have the opportunities and facilities supporting me. This drives me to achieve success so that I can extend help within my limits and help them move a few steps forward in life.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies include playing volleyball, cricket, and basketball, which I enjoy immensely. Additionally, I am interested in exploring the cuisines of different cultures and understanding the deeper meaning and reasons behind human existence.
