Apoorva Roy
JNV Haridwar Uttarakhand I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical College
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My name is Apoorva Roy. My mother’s name is Mrs. Rakhi Ravi. My father’s name is Late Tejpal Singh. My mother is a private tutor. I have two siblings—my elder sister, who is doing a science graduation, and my younger brother, who is in grade 9. It has been 15 years since my father passed away. After his death, we shifted to my uncles’ (Mama) home—Mr. Anil Ravi and Mr. Kamal Ravi. Both are married and have children. The eldest member of the house is my maternal grandmother, Mrs. Kavita Ravi. My maternal aunts, Mrs. Arti Dogra and Mrs. Shalu Ravi, are housewives. One of my uncles works a job, and we are partially dependent on them. We all live together happily
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I need Dakshana for my own and my family’s bright future. I want my mother to be relieved because my siblings are also studying. If I am not selected for the Dakshana Scholarship, I will study from home and do my best to crack NEET 2026.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
The ultimate ambition of my life is to secure a seat in a good medical college.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
After becoming a doctor, I will treat every patient with respect, empathy, and honesty. I will guide medical students and young people who dream of becoming doctors, and use social media and workshops to spread reliable medical information.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
After my father’s death, my mother faced many hardships. I want her to live the life she truly deserves. As I grew up, I understood my responsibilities and decided to do something meaningful for my family.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I am interested in singing. I also like to sleep — but not just any sleep; I love a good sleep, the kind after which I wake up to a new morning, feel fresh, and do what I want to do.
