Apoorva S
JNV Bengaluru Urban Karnataka I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical College
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
Ours is a nuclear family consisting of five members—myself, my father, my mother, my younger sister, and my younger brother. My father is an advocate (lawyer); he works hard to fulfil all our dreams. My mother is a housewife; she always supports us in every step of life and guides us on the right path. My younger sister and brother are pursuing their studies in 10th and 6th class respectively.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I dream of becoming a doctor. My parents already carry the responsibility of educating all three of us, so paying high MBBS or coaching fees is difficult. The Dakshana Scholarship will help me secure good marks and a good rank in NEET 2026 so I can join a college with manageable fees. If not selected, I will look for other ways to continue my studies.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to achieve my dream of becoming a doctor. After becoming a doctor, I will try my best to reach the needy people and help them. After becoming stable in my job, I want to take responsibility for one of my sibling’s education and help them with their studies and keep my parents happy.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
After achieving my dream of becoming a doctor, I would try to build a hospital that will be affordable for all needy people. I want treatments, medicines, operations, and surgeries to be affordable for poor people. Many people think that without enough money, no treatment is possible. I want to change that mindset by making medical care affordable. After becoming successful, I would like to help students like me who dream big.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
In my childhood, I saw my parents struggling a lot to arrange money for my grandfather’s operation. In the end, it was too late to arrange such a huge amount suddenly, and we lost our grandfather forever. Since then, it has been my motive to become a doctor and make treatment affordable so that what happened to us due to poor economic status should not happen to others.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I am interested in travelling and cooking. My hobbies are reading novels, listening to music, and playing badminton.
