Nirmalya Prasad Kabi
JNV Jajpur Odisha I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father, Mr. Nirmal Kabi, is working as an employee in a hardware store, and he usually works 12 hours a day just to provide a better life for my family. Although he does not get enough time to spend with us, he always regrets that. However, whenever we are all at home, we used to play indoor games together.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
Dakshana Foundation is a renowned institution that provides free coaching to needy and talented students. I studied for the Dakshana Scholarship Test, and my family cannot afford other private institutions for my preparation. If I am not selected as a Dakshana Scholar, then I will have to take an online batch or an online course for my JEE preparation.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to give a better life to my family, because since their childhood they have lived in poor family conditions. I want to change this situation, and my biggest dream is to get into an IIT and pursue a B.Tech degree. I also want to give a better life to my brother so that he can do better in his life. My first priority is to build a house for my parents to live in and to remove the poor tag from our family. I also want to build a school in my village to provide better education for poor children.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
My contribution to society is nothing in terms of money, because from Class 6 to Class 12 I have studied with the support of others, and I also prepared for JEE with the help of Dakshana Foundation. Whatever I will do in the future will be counted as my return to society. I really want to build a school in my village because many students there do not get basic education, so I want to provide them with better education. I hope I will definitely do this.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
There is my family waiting for me to be successful so that they can proudly say, “Yes, he is my son.” I still remember the faces of my mother and father when they sent me to JNV for seven long years and then to Dakshana.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies are creating memories even when I am in deep sorrow or in a bad mood. I also do painting, and the best thing is that I love to listen to and sing music. I also love to dance and read novels.
