Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
I am from a peasant’s family. My father, Venay Singh, is a farmer, and my mother, Kunti Devi, is a housewife. I have a big brother named Raghvendra Kumar Singh, and he is still preparing for a job. There are more members in my family — my grandparents. My uncle is also a farmer, and my maternal uncle is a government teacher in a middle school.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because I have a strong motivation to study and work hard, and I want to become a successful person. However, my family cannot afford the money for my JEE coaching. I study in JNV and was the 7th ranker in my district board exam in 2025.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My aim is to become a successful person in the future. Therefore, I came here and want to go to IIT as I am preparing for JEE. My goal is to take my family out of poverty.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become a successful person in the future, I would like to observe the common problems of society and try to solve them. I would like to teach the children of my community and guide them on the right path to success, just as our faculties are guiding me. Moreover, I will help homeless people by providing food, and for children, I will take them to school so they can get an education as I have.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
I belong to a farmer’s family, not even a middle-class one. So when I cracked the JNV entrance exam and later the Dakshana Scholarship Program for JEE preparation, I became fully motivated to do better and give my best potential so that I can lift my family out of poverty. The dream of becoming an IITian is also a great motivation for me.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I am interested in playing games like volleyball and cricket in my free time. I also read novels and storybooks when I feel bored. Sometimes, I talk with people and also have an interest in chess.
