Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father, Mr. Ravi Shankar, is a daily-wage temporary factory labourer working in a local iron factory in Rajkot, Gujarat. My mother, Mrs. Geeta Devi, is a housewife who keeps our house well maintained. My brother, Mr. Vimal Raj, is a 12th-pass student from JNV Mirzapur and now plans to pursue a B.Sc. at the University of Allahabad. My uncle is also a daily-wage labourer in a local iron factory in Rajkot, Gujarat.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana scholarship because I have great interest in PCM, especially physics, and I have worked hard for this examination. I always wanted to become an engineer, and to qualify for JEE, private institutions are very expensive. With my father's temporary income, it's quite impossible. That's why I deserve this opportunity to achieve my dream and get exposure for higher education.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to become an honorable citizen and a good engineer to serve my nation honestly. Another goal in my life is to make my family financially stronger, retire my father from his factory job, and free my mother from daily cooking by wood and cow dung cakes. Ultimately, my ambition is to make my family stable and later become a good citizen of my country.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I will contribute to society in many ways—by donating to charities and funding the education of poor students. I will also donate to the Dakshana Foundation every year. After retirement, I want to start an education program for JEE/NEET preparation for financially weak students like those at Dakshana.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
An incident that inspired me was when I was in 7th standard. I went to buy some clothes with my parents. My mother looked at an expensive saree but didn’t say anything. I realized her desire for it, and when we went again later, she looked at it again with the same wish. Her emotional eyes told me everything. That day, I decided to work hard and buy her everything she deserves.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies are imagining the universe and its laws, reading philosophical books by great thinkers like Osho, and exploring entrepreneurship. I am very interested in the field of e-commerce and dropshipping.
