My father’s me is Ramakant Gaonkar. He is a farmer. He also owns a shop. My father is very hard working man. Since childhood he never enjoyed his life fully. He always sacrifice for others happiness. Like my father my mother is also very hard working lady. Her me is Lata Gaonkar. For documentation I write her occupation as house wife but in reality she works 10 times more than any lady who works in office. She helps my father at shop. My sister Vinita Gaonkar is doing 2nd year BA, my second sister. Vidita Gaonkar is studying in 7th in government school. My little brother Mohit Gaonkar is studying in 4th in government primary school.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I think I deserve it. I think I am eligible to be awarded the Daksha scholarship. I believe that my talent meets the criteria of a Daksha scholar. If I don’t get selected as a Daksha scholar then I will try for other best institution just like Daksha. If still I don’t get a good institution, thenI will study on my own and will score good marks in competative exams.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to work in ISRO. I want to work in ISRO as an engineer. I have such dream since I came to know about Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s story.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
Once I become successful and have enough power, I will do my best to help needy people. Especially I will help students to get admission in their dream institutions.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My parents are my primary source of inspiration. They work hard for our better future. And so I want to become enough rich to make them stress free, and work free. When I was in 7th standard, I was very lazy and did not do my maths homework. My math teacher took my book and when he saw that it was empty, he just picked that book and hit it on my head. I was so embarrassed and cried a lot that day. That day I decided to score out of marks in maths fil exams and I did it. I scored full marks in exams. From that day I came to know about my abilities.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like to take challenges, I like to read books, drawing, painting, dancing. I like to explore new things.
