Tanishq Kumar
Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya Janta Flats I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical College
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My name is Tanishq Kumar, and I come from a humble and loving family in North East Delhi. My father is a skilled harmonium craftsman; he builds them by hand at home on orders from a nearby shop. My mother is a homemaker and the emotional pillar of our family. I have two elder sisters—one gives home tuitions, and the other is doing MBBS from a government medical college.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
Becoming a doctor has always been my dream, but dreams need direction and mentorship to come true. Dakshana is that guiding light for me. My family cannot afford coaching, but I have the dedication and willpower to put in the hard work required. Being selected for Dakshana Valley is already a big opportunity. I will definitely get admission into a government medical college.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My goal is to become a doctor and serve society. I want to make lasting changes in public health systems. My ambition goes beyond personal success—it's about service, reform, and leadership.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
As a doctor, I want to ensure that no one is denied treatment because they can’t afford it. I plan to start community health centers and offer free surgeries and consultations to underprivileged people. I also want to help people who can’t afford food, clothes, and other basic needs. I will treat every patient with compassion.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
One incident that left a deep impact on me was when a poor man in my neighborhood lost his life simply because he couldn’t afford proper treatment on time. Local clinics refused treatment without payment, and government hospitals were overcrowded. By the time someone helped, it was too late. I want to become a doctor not just to cure diseases but to bring hope to families like his.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I enjoy playing cricket and listening to music, which helps me relax and stay motivated during study breaks.
