Supriya Das
JNV Alipurdaur West Bengal I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
I, along with my father, mother, elder brother, and grandmother, live in a small village of West Bengal named Thanupara. My father was a farmer in our village, and my mother was a housewife who always helped him in farming. My elder brother was physically disabled. My chacha shifted to my aunt’s father’s home. My mama was a backward officer in the BDO office. He always motivated me to do better and be an ideal for my village.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
In villages, especially among girls, very few students pursue engineering or medical fields. The reasons include lack of money, lack of proper guidance, or parental restrictions. If Dakshana selects me, I will make sure to secure admission into IIT next year. If I am not selected, I will prepare for state government jobs.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
To be a good human being.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I would like to motivate the people of my village to work hard, make sacrifices, and stay determined toward their life goals.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My selection in the Dakshana Scholarship.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
Learning different languages, playing video games, and solving sudoku.
