Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
I am Sujeet Sahu. My father's name is Mr. Dhruv Kumar Sahu. He is a farmer and mason. He studied up to 5th standard. My mother's name is Mrs. Chanda Bai Sahu and she is a housewife. I have two brothers and one sister. My elder brother, Pankaj Sahu, has completed his M.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Delhi this year. My sister has completed her B.Sc. in Mathematics and she is married. My younger brother, Ankit Sahu, is also studying in JNV Panna in class 10. I have two uncles who also do farming for their livelihood.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I believe that I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because of my strong academic record, dedication to personal growth, and commitment to making a positive impact in my society. This scholarship will help me overcome financial challenges, enabling me to focus fully on my education and achieve my long-term goal of becoming an engineer after doing B.Tech from an IIT.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to excel academically and professionally, using my education to make a positive impact on society. I aim to contribute meaningfully to technology by addressing key challenges and improving the lives of others, especially those in underprivileged communities. With the support of the Dakshana Scholarship, I can achieve my goals, pursue excellence, and embody the values of service and leadership in my future endeavors.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I aspire to contribute to society and the world by using my skills and resources to create meaningful and lasting change. I aim to address key challenges in technology and support initiatives that empower underprivileged communities by mentoring young individuals, sharing knowledge, and contributing to sustainable development. I hope to inspire others and create opportunities that uplift society, embodying the values of service, compassion, and leadership.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
A year ago, I visited a school in my hometown. There I saw many children from underprivileged backgrounds who didn’t have enough resources to study properly. But one particular student, who struggled with learning, showed immense improvement after consistent support and encouragement. Witnessing his progress despite the challenges he faced motivated me to make a positive impact. It reminded me of the power of perseverance, empathy, and hard work, inspiring me to pursue my education with greater purpose and determination.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
One of my main interests is playing chess. I find it mentally and intellectually stimulating and enjoyable, as it challenges my strategic thinking and decision-making skills. It has taught me focus, patience, and perseverance. I also enjoy reading books, listening to songs, and playing cricket.
