Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
I am Sudipta Sarkar,a dakshana scholar and currently studying in class 11th.I am from North 24 Pgs,West Bengal. My father's name is Pradip Sarkar, he is a businessman. My mother's name is Sabita Sarkar and she is a homemaker. I am the single child in my home.My father likes reading newspapers and gardening and my mother likes to cook new dishes.I have 3 paternal uncles and all of them have shops.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I think I should be awarded the scholarship because I belong to the economically backward family and can't afford to take private coaching.Dakshana is a good platform to fulfill my drean of becoming a doctor.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to be a good person at first. My ambition is to become a ideal doctor and more precisely a Cardiologist.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful I will give financial support to my parents.I would also like to get associated witha a NGO, which will help helpless people.Atleast 2 days in a week I would go to a village or remote areas to provide treatment to sick people those who cannot afford to pay hospital bills.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
First of all from childhood it was my parent's dream to make me a doctor.They inspired me a lot.My father suffered from jaundice when I was in class 2 and spent 1 month in Bangalore for the treatment.From that day I decided to become a doctor.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies are singing,dancing,drawing. I also like to spend time with my family. I have an interest in reading Biology.
