Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
There are six members in my family — my father, mother, three elder sisters, and me. My father runs a small general store in the village. My mother is a housewife and wants me to become successful in life. Out of my three sisters, two are married and the youngest is still studying. My paternal uncle runs a fertilizer shop in the village.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
The major reason I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship is that I am dedicated to becoming a skilled engineer through IIT, but I cannot afford the high cost of other coaching institutes. My family’s monthly income is around ?9000, making it impossible to pay for private coaching. If I am not selected as a Dakshana Scholar, I will still try my best to get into IIT while staying at my parent JNV.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition is to become a successful engineer for the nation and a humble person for my family and society. IIT is the best platform to fulfill this dream, and I will give my best to achieve it.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I will help poor and underprivileged students to become skilled and educated individuals. Education is the most effective way for poor and middle-class people to move forward. I will contribute financially to such causes as much as I can.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
When I was in class 7, my family faced a severe financial crisis due to my sister’s marriage. Moneylenders often came and scolded my father for not repaying the loan. Watching my father’s helplessness deeply hurt me and motivated me to become successful so that my father can proudly face everyone.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I am interested in exploring new things and learning about nature. My hobbies include reading novels and philosophical books. I also enjoy watching science fiction movies for fun and learning.
