Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My family consists of four members—my father, mother, elder sister, and myself. My father's name is Muniyappa, and he works as a gardener. My mother's name is Netharavathi; she is a housewife and takes care of our family. My sister's name is Deekshitha, and she is doing B.Tech. I am Shreyashwini M, and I have completed my 12th from JNV Bangalore Rural.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I was dedicated and more interested in joining IIT. Dakshana made a path for me to fulfill it, as my parents can’t afford to send me to coaching centers. If I was not selected for Dakshana, I would have taken online courses.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My goal is to become an engineer, as I am more interested in it, and I want to become a successful woman. I want to give a better lifestyle to my parents with full happiness. I want to show them that the efforts they have made for so many years matter a lot to me.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful in my life, I want to help talented students in rural areas who cannot afford to chase their goals. I also want to help poor people by giving them education so they can build their own lives.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
As I have grown up seeing my parents’ struggles and hardships, they motivated me a lot to do better in my life. My father is my role model. I have learned so many things from him, and my mother also supported me a lot. She believed in me with no complaints. So that made me inspired.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I am more interested in making crafts. I spend my day reading novels and watching movies.
