Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
Hi, my family has six members — me, my father, my mother, and my three sisters. They are all elder than me. They care for me and help me in my learning whenever needed. My mother, whom I like the most, cares for me the most. My father doesn’t show much, but he wants me to succeed in life. He likes to listen to bhajans all day. My uncle (mama) also has a shop like my father. I have no paternal uncles.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I have done everything to achieve this. I worked hard to get here, and I will continue to do my best at Dakshana. My teachers also advised me to try for Dakshana because it costs a lot. Only Dakshana can fulfill my dream. If I am not selected, then I would stay in my parent JNV because I have no other option.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
From childhood, my ambition has been to become an IITian. I want to get a good placement and improve my family’s financial condition. I want to see my parents happy and give them things they want but can’t afford financially.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I will be a good citizen and contribute to society in various ways. I will help the needy and do some charity according to my income. I will help my family and neighbors whenever they need me, either physically or financially. If I get a chance, I will contribute to Dakshana and Navodaya for their development.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
When I was in UKG, I was an average student, ranked 13–14 in primary school. At that time, I didn’t think much about my future. But when I came to class 2, I was inspired by my classmates and started studying hard. That year, my rank rose to 4 and continued improving, which carried me to Navodaya.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like to play football and chess. I also love to read books, but traveling is my first priority. Besides these, I am very interested in astronomy and love to read about it.
