Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father's name is Umesh Singh. He doesn’t have a regular way to earn money. He has a small piece of land. Now his age is 46 years. My father's education level is 12th pass. My mother's name is Lalita Devi. She is a housewife and has a low vision problem. She is 45 years old. I have two brothers named Shubham Kumar and Satyam Kumar. Both are younger than me. The middle one, Shubham Kumar, is now in JNV, and the youngest, Satyam Kumar, is preparing for JNVST.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I have to prepare for admission to IIT, for which I have to qualify for one of the toughest examinations, JEE. For this, good coaching is needed. If I join any private coaching, I have to pay a lot of money, which my father is not able to pay. The Dakshana Foundation provides comprehensive scholarships. These scholarships include 100% of coaching fees and books, which I need.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to go to IIT, which gives many scopes for earning and boosts our life.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I will support those children who want to study but can’t afford it.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
When I was selected for JNV, it motivated me that I was selected from thousands of children in my district. When I went there, I came to know about Dakshana, which gives coaching for JEE and NEET. So, I thought this is a good opportunity for me.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My interest is in computers. I am interested in playing outdoor games, doing physical exercises, and solving mathematics problems.
