Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father's name is Mr. Tilak Prasad. He is a farmer. My mother's name is Mrs. Brinda Devi, and she is a housewife. We are two sisters and one brother. My sister, Pratibha Kumari, is in class 10. My brother, Ankit Kumar, is in class 6. I have a grandfather, Bhisham Mahato, and a grandmother, Basanti Devi. Our main source of income is farming. I have two elder uncles—one is a Sub-Inspector and the other is a bank cashier.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I live in a small village. There are no well-developed schools or coaching institutes for preparing for competitive exams like JEE and NEET. I belong to an economically poor family and cannot afford the high cost of coaching institutes. I am deprived of all privileges. I am sure that with proper education, I can make a big difference in society. If I am not selected, I will identify the mistakes that prevented me from getting selected and work on them.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My aim is to become a doctor. It is a very noble profession that I have chosen. I will be the first doctor in my family. I want to make my parents proud. I will provide my family a better life, good living conditions, and financial support.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
After becoming a successful doctor, I will provide better health facilities to society. I will support poor children who can’t afford their education fees. I will help people who can’t afford better and proper medications. I will also encourage students to do good for society.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My biggest inspiration comes from my parents. I have seen their struggles and their hard work to provide us with a better life. There are financial problems at home and tough situations that they handle with courage. All this inspires me to become a doctor, provide them a better life, and free them from worries.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies are reading interesting novels, and sometimes I do sketching. I have much interest in art and crafts. I love doing these in my free time.
