Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father’s name is Mr. Ram Kumar Poddar (businessman). He likes to read the newspaper. My mother’s name is Mrs. Mala Devi (homemaker). Her hobby is singing. My sisters’ names are Madhu, Pallavi, and Pratibha. My brother’s name is Manohar Kumar, and his hobby is playing. All three of my uncles are businessmen, and my maternal uncle is an employee in a factory.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because I deserve it. I am eager to learn new things and I want to serve the nation in many ways. If I get the scholarship, it will help me fulfill my ambitions. If I do not get it, my further studies may be affected badly. In that case, I may choose a teaching career.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to be a doctor and make my parents feel proud of me. I want to help people through my profession at low or free cost.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
As we know, in my country there is a lack of good medical facilities. Many poor people suffer due to lack of proper treatment, mainly in rural areas. When I become a successful doctor, I will treat them through free medical camps. Along with treatment, I will teach people how to maintain hygiene and take proper diet.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
Lack of resources and opportunities always teaches a person to become better so that he or she can achieve what they desire. The same happened in my case. When I was younger, my grandfather became seriously ill. My family took him to the hospital, but due to lack of money, the doctors did not treat him well, and we lost the guardian of our family. At that moment, I decided to become a doctor so that no one else would have to face the same situation.

My hobby is playing musical instruments (Harmonium), reading storybooks, and watching movies. I am also interested in knowing the history of our great warriors through books or movies.
