Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
We are five members living in our house—my father, Naresh Sahoo, who works hard and manages the family; my mother, Mamina Sahoo, who is a housewife; my elder brother, who is a student; and my little brother, who is 3 years old.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
Dakshana is giving me so much and one big opportunity to become a doctor. If I was not selected in Dakshana, then somehow I would join some other coaching and try to achieve my goal. I did not know much about Dakshana and did not think I would be selected, but somehow I got this opportunity. I am really proud of Dakshana for giving me such a big chance to achieve my goal.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition is that no one should die due to lack of proper treatment or medical facilities. I believe I have the potential to become a prestigious doctor, solve these problems, and provide all necessary facilities to patients.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become a doctor, I will ensure that no patient suffers due to the unavailability of medical facilities in nearby villages. Small medical issues become dangerous when treatment is not available in time. I will try to solve this by setting up medical facilities and giving my best so that no one says there is no doctor in their village. I will try to break this belief.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
What motivates me is that no one in my family is a doctor, nor in my neighborhood. This made me give myself a target—that no matter what obstacles come, I will solve them and become a doctor. I want to serve my village so that no patient suffers due to lack of medical help.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My interest is to keep my village healthy by becoming a doctor and making a hospital in my village. My hobby is singing, which makes me happy in any situation.
