Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
Let me introduce my family to you. Firstly, my father's name is Malkit Singh. He is a labourer. My mother's name is Soma Rani; she is a housewife and likes doing household work. I have two sisters—Mamta and Sanjana. They want to become an IAS officer and an advocate respectively. My chacha's name is Gurmeet Singh; he is also a labourer. The eldest member of our house is my grandmother.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
My father is a labourer and an illiterate person, so he cannot get good work, which has kept our family in poverty. There is not enough money for good education. That is why I want to get a good job and uplift my family. If I am not selected as a Dakshana Scholar, I will pursue veterinary science to become a doctor so that I can gain respect and solve my family’s problems.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition is to become a cardiologist in the future. I want to create a healthy society by promoting disease-free hearts. I want to give free or discounted treatment to laborers and backward-class people. I want to see my parents as proud parents of a respected doctor. These are some small and beautiful ambitions of my life.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I want to promote a healthy society. I will build a hospital for poor, hardworking, and illiterate people to solve their health problems.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My only motivation and inspiration is my parents, especially my father. There are seven members in my family and my father is the only income source. When I see his continuous struggle to provide me good education, I study hard to achieve my ambition and my parents’ ambition for me.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies are playing outdoor games like cricket and football. My interest is to develop my future and achieve all my goals and my parents’ ambitions. I hope that after completing one year course from Dakshana, I will be selected in my dream college, so I am trying my best.
