Eklavya Model Residential School Gamnom Sapormeina Manipur I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical college
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
I grew up without father as my father passed away in 2005. My mother is a farmer doing some small type of personal farm for family requirement purposes. i have an elder brother and a younger sister together we are siblings of three .Presently my brother completed his 12 class and helping my mother and my sister in 10 standard. My immediate uncle is a social worker as district coordinator in rural development.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana scholarship because I'm a NEET aspirant who wish to get through good medical college but could not afford good coaching institute . And Dakshana is the ideal institute where many have cleared NEET successfully and joined good AIIMS college in different parts of India . If I were not selected for Dakshana scholarship i would join a coaching institute in my area and go for my dream of becoming a doctor.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is life is to become a Doctor. As doctor is a profession of saving life and in my locality there are so few doctor that despite living in 21st century still could not get proper healthcare facilities and awareness of good health. I wish to make some changes in these people's life.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
Being from tribal area I can see that people of my society doesn't have big dreams Main reason is that they are not being introduced to different types of job or profession which they could take up . We have the mindset that those big jobs are not for us ,we are not capable of it and this mindset still exist in my society. So i want to become so successful that i can influence and motivate my society's youth.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
Growing up without father is actually hard but that doesn't make me feel inferior. And there's nothing that is pulling me back for the reason that I do not have father. I have my mother who is doing everything she could to give me education, Seeing my mother working so hard and always supporting me makes me feel motivated and want to make proud of me someday.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
As a village boy I have keen interest in nature and I love spending time with kids.My hobbies are playing football listening to music and reading books.
