Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father's name is Manudeb Gayen. He is a farmer and also our main source of income. He wants me to become a successful person in life. My mother's name is Nandita Gayen; she is a homemaker and maintains our home. My grandfather's name is Jiban Krishna Gayen. My grandmother's name is Chandra Gayen. They also want me to become a good person. That’s why I chose to prepare for IIT-JEE.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
My family income is low, so my father cannot afford the coaching fees required for JEE preparation. If I am awarded the scholarship, then I will work very hard. If I am not selected to be a Dakshana Scholar, then I will take admission in state colleges based on state exams.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to be a successful and brilliant engineer in my life. After I start earning money, I will first repair my house. I also love exploring different places, especially sea beaches.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I will donate money to orphanages or NGOs. During Durga Puja, I will donate new clothes to those who live on the roads due to homelessness.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My father is a farmer. I literally saw him work very hard. One day he woke up at 5:30 a.m. and returned home at 9:00 p.m. That day I realized his hard work, and I decided to work hard and stay disciplined in my life. It inspires me every time.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I love watching movies, especially Bengali and South Indian movies. I also love watching cricket and football when I am free.
