I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT

Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father’s name is Ramesh Tandon, but he is no more. My mother’s name is Smt. Sunita Rani. She is a housewife and is like a God to me. She works for me and my family and guides me in every situation. I have a disciplined lifestyle because of her choices and preferences. She always finds solutions for any situation. My elder sister’s name is Muskan Tandon. My younger siblings are Deepanshu and Varsha Tandon.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
Due to my goals and mindset, I want to be a student of India’s best free coaching institute, Dakshana. I am good in studies and sports, and Dakshana selected me because of my performance and my family’s financial background. If I had not been selected, my goal would have been to get a B.Tech degree, develop application software and web software for India, and pursue higher education in Germany at the University of Munich.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to make India and Haryana proud in the whole world. I want to study in IIT because of the type and quality of education in India’s most preferred engineering colleges. India has top IITs and NITs, but Indians are not able to develop their own software and technologies. Many people use Apple and Microsoft products, but India has very few such applications or software. I want to build these things.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become a successful and reputed person, my major goal will be to develop India — its technology, mindset, and goals. Many B.Tech students, especially from IITs, work for foreign companies and contribute to foreign nations. But my vision is different. My aim is to develop India in the field of technology, web, and app development. I don’t want to contribute Indian technology to other countries except for general things. My thinking is like Adolf Hitler and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: “Water the tree that is in your own garden.” My goal is to strengthen Indian technology for India.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
When I was in class 10 during my summer vacation, I watched the web series “Rocket Boys” about Indian scientists Dr. Homi Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. Their achievements inspired me, especially when I heard that the CIA killed Homi Bhabha for his work to make India a nuclear power. I felt that America uses our IITians for their benefit and develops their own country. I challenged myself to help India become a technological superpower.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My official hobby is wrestling. I am from Haryana, so my major hobbies are wrestling and boxing. I am also interested in emerging technologies like AI and software development. My hobby is to make myself a nation lover like “Adolf Hitler”.
