Jayanta Besan

JNV Jharsuguda Odisha
I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT

Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father's name is Prakash Besan. He works in a factory named Actio Ispat Pvt. Ltd. as a welder. My mother's name is Jamini Besan; she is a housewife. I am a single child. My uncle's name is Tapan Kumar Jayapuria, and he is an employee in an industry named Vedanta.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I am a hardworking student, and I could get a good branch in a good IIT, but I don’t have any source from where I can prepare better. Due to economic problems, I cannot afford extensive coaching fees. Luckily, I gave the Dakshana Scholarship Test and got selected for one-year coaching for JEE preparation. Dakshana is the best platform for students from poor backgrounds to fulfill their dreams and get new opportunities. If I had not been selected, then I would have continued my preparation through self-study.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to make my parents proud of me and afford all the things I had once dreamed of.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
After I become successful, I wish to open a coaching center in my village with low fees so children who are not able to fulfill their dreams can achieve them.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
I am inspired by some movies like Super 30 and 12th Fail, which show hard work and sacrifice for success. I am also inspired by sportsmen like Cristiano Ronaldo — his motivation, discipline, and hard work make him special for me.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I am very interested in football, movies and dancing.
