My father’s name is Taga Yekar, and my mother’s name is Yana Sati Yekar. I have two elder sisters, one elder brother, and one younger brother. My father is a farmer and spends most of his time working in the fields. My mother is a housewife and enjoys gardening. My elder sister is pursuing a B.Sc. Nursing course. My elder brother is a graduate and likes dancing. My younger sister is a student and enjoys playing sports. My younger brother and sister are studying in 6th and 10th standard respectively. My immediate uncles are currently unemployed.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because, like many other students preparing for NEET, I am also working hard to achieve my dream of becoming a doctor. It has always been my ambition to serve people through medicine. If I am not selected for the scholarship, I will not give up on my dream. My father cannot afford expensive private coaching classes, so I will continue preparing through online classes and self-study using available resources such as YouTube.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to become a good doctor, make my parents proud, and live a stable life. I want to do something meaningful for society by helping and curing people through my profession.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become a well-educated and successful doctor, I would like to build my own hospital in my town with high-quality medical facilities. I also want to organize free medical camps and health check-up programmes in nearby villages and areas where healthcare services are needed the most.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
When I was in Class 7, I once walked with my father to the fields. During our journey, he spoke to me about his difficult childhood and the struggles he faced in life. He told me that I was his last hope and asked me to study well and become successful. That day, I promised myself that one day I would make my parents proud and help support my younger siblings’ education and college fees. This incident motivated me to work harder in life.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I enjoy singing, dancing, gardening, and playing badminton and volleyball.
